Kate Beckinsale is recovering after being hospitalized in Memphis, Tennessee. The British actress was spotted in a good spirit in Beverly Hills streets on November 20. She was taken to the hospital on November 13 after “experiencing numbness in her left arm and left leg,” reports Access Hollywood.

Kate Beckinsale was hospitalized in Memphis, Tennessee, on Sunday (11Nov07) due to a numbness in her left arm and leg. She was taken to the hospital after her concern increased, but doctors put it down to exhaustion. However, the British star’s spokesperson denies the rumors, saying Beckinsale accompanied her assistant to hospital who had sprained her ankle, but had her own check-up while she was there.

Kate Beckinsale asks for English chocolates when she feels homesick, reports clim. The British star, who is currently living in Los Angeles with Husband director Len Wiseman and her seven-year-old daughter Lily, misses her country and and begs friends to bring back chocolates when they visit the UK. “When anyone goes to England, I ask them to bring me back as many bars of chocolates as they can carry. I had to gain weight when I was filming The Aviator and ate chocolates like it was going out of fashion”. She also said she makes Len watch the British TV drama Prime Suspect. “I force Len to watch Prime Suspect and I always cry, ‘Oh, I miss England’!,” Kate concluded.

She made her acting debut in a television WWII drama called One
Against the Wind and was soon cast in a short corporate film
about industrial accidents. In 1991, Kate attended Oxford
University's New College, where she majored in French and
Russian Literature. She already knew that she was going to
pursue a career in drama, but in order to broaden her horizons
she decided to attend a regular university rather than a school
geared towards drama and other fine arts
